How It Works
Are you hosting a hackathon, game jam, or live streamed tournament? Use HostParty to showcase participants and let chat vote on when move onto the next stream.
You host an overlay in which you show another stream.
The stream inside is randomly selected by opt-in tag.
Chat can vote to stay or move onto the next stream.
Getting Started
In just a couple quick steps, you can be on your way. After downloading the app, head onto the first step.
Enter Bot Credentials
It is best to use a dedicated bot account. Create one if you don't have one and get its OAuth token. We use this to let the bot chat in stream and connect to the Twitch API.
Configure Settings
This is where the fun begins. You can set the title keyword to search for and fine tune the timers and commands. Then you just start the server via the controls section.
Add Overlay to OBS (or other)
Grab the bot url from inside the app and paste it into an OBS BrowserSource. Other broadcasting suites with browsersource capabilities work just great.
